Meet New 20/20 Club Member Angie Caudill!

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Angie Caudill to the 20/20 Club! She says, "Hello!! My name is Angie Caudill. I live in Mattoon, Illinois with my husband, Jeff, and our sweet dogs, Koda and Cooper. I have three adult children, Kendall, Kaylee and Kelsey and four beautiful granddaughters! I have worked in the corporate world for almost 20 years. I’m currently working full-time as a Human Resource/Payroll Manager and work my business as well. I grew up in a very small town of approximately 250 people only 15 minutes from where I live now. It was so small that as kids, our fun was playing football, kickball and baseball behind our little church, playing in the creek, and riding our bicycles around town all summer long. It was the kind of town where everyone looked out for each other and no one ever locked their doors. We knew it was time to head home when the streetlights came on. My family didn’t take big vacations back then. A trip to St. Louis to Six Flags was our big adventure. I definitely grew up a small-town girl.

"My interests include spending time with my family, playing with my granddaughters, and being outdoors in warm weather, preferably near white sand and beautiful turquoise waters or the Smoky Mountains! I have been blessed to be able to travel to the Gulf Coast several times, California, Tennessee, Cancun, took a Caribbean cruise to Nassau and Key West as well as a few trips to Lake Erie with my team! My husband will be retiring in the next year so that will free us up to do more extensive traveling! (And I am so ready!) I dream of going to Greece, Ireland, Paris and the Maldives. Of course, being in this business, your destination wish list is never going to be completely checked off!

"June 19th, 2023 will be my 4-year PlanNet anniversary, so it took me a while to get to this point, but that was my own doing. I couldn’t 'see' myself succeeding, therefore I wasn’t. However, I had a mind shift on January 11, 2023 and made the decision that I was going to become a Director! I set my sights on becoming a DIT and hit that goal within a few weeks. My next goal was 20/20 and now I’m running towards Director. I love coaching a team and being able to help them reach the goals they have set for themselves.

"The advice I would give to others is this:

1.  Get out of your own way! You cannot have self-DOUBT and self-DISCIPLINE at the same time. Believe that you CAN and DESERVE to be successful.

2.  Like every leader says because it’s so true: Consistency is Key!! You cannot start and stop over and over again and expect to get to your goals. Point yourself in the right direction and put your foot on the gas!

3.  Put in the work. Make the sacrifices now so you can reap the rewards later. Giving up hours of Netflix, going out to the clubs, etc. for income-producing activities will help you grow your business.

4.  The FORTUNE is in the FOLLOW-UP. Learn to be very good at circling back around to check in with your prospects. Keeping an organized system for follow-ups is vital.

5.  Tap-Rooting: this is something I learned at a PlanNet Marketing convention a few years ago and has been huge in my success. Reach down into your teams’ friends and prospects. Help reach out to those people and start those conversations yourself if you have to.

6.  Share the Good News. Anytime there is something amazing going on within the business, the travel world etc., share that with people. PlanNet Marketing’s rapid growth for example – use those positive things to build excitement.

7.  Plug in to your team’s trainings, corporate meetings, conventions; anything you can.

8.  Align yourself with positive leaders who you want to emulate and always remain coachable.

9.  Remember that you’re on your own journey and don’t compare yourself to others.

10.  Lastly, always remember your WHY. Whatever your reason for wanting to succeed, focus on that. You may even need to adjust your why from time to time. Dig deeper, find that deep down desire you have that your success in this business can give you.

"A fun fact about me:  As kids, we used to ride our bicycles five miles away to Lincoln Log Cabin State Park. One day, my brother and I asked if we could dress up in the 'old time clothes' like the two adults who worked there. The park ranger spoke with my parents who gave their permission, so they made clothes that would fit us, and we spent many days out of the summer for the next few years portraying Abraham Lincoln’s family. Eventually, more and more kids wanted to do the same, so the park later started the Volunteer Pioneer program which is still carried out today."
