The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Shereen Connolly

1. Personal: Where you were born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
I was born and raised in North London and now live in Hertfordshire with my husband and our 5-year-old son. Together, we run a Greengrocer & Florist shop in North London, a business that has taught me so much. While I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built, I’m focused on growing my network marketing business to create more time, location, and financial freedom for our family. This business has allowed me to homeschool my son full-time. We love to travel and we’ve been fortunate to experience some truly amazing places. I’m grateful for the opportunities this business has provided us to create a future that’s full of possibilities.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet, my growth has been incredible – not just in terms of my business skills, but also personally. I’ve seen my confidence and self-belief grow in ways I never imagined. While I’ve always had business experience from running our shops and working in corporate roles, network marketing has pushed me to a level of self-discipline and determination I never knew I had. I’ve had to step out of my comfort zone to lead training and events and in doing so, I've become a stronger coach and leader. It's been such an empowering journey and I know the best is yet to come.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
What motivates me every single day is my son. He has special needs and is only now beginning to speak at nearly six years old. He can’t attend mainstream school, so I’ve made the choice to homeschool him full-time. Without this business opportunity, I wouldn’t have the freedom to be there for him in the way I need to be. I don’t know exactly what the future holds for him, but I do know that I’m determined to create the best possible life for him and our family. This business allows me to be present for him every day while also working toward building a future where we all thrive.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My role model is my husband. He is the hardest-working person I know. He wakes up at 2 am every day to work the wholesale markets and then continues working in our shop until the afternoon. He works tirelessly, often in harsh weather and long hours, but does so with incredible dedication. He’s been my biggest supporter, always lifting us up as a family. He motivates me to keep going, and one of my greatest goals is to be able to retire him, so he can enjoy life more and we can spend more time together with our son.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Determined, Compassionate and Resilient.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone, what would it be?
My advice would be: Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. We have the most incredible business model and compensation plan that can genuinely change lives. The first step is to believe it’s possible for you – do whatever personal growth work is necessary to get to that point. Next, show up for yourself and your business every day. Find what works for you and aligns with your values, and stick with it. We all have two choices: make it work or give up. And I promise you, if you commit to making it work, you won’t regret it. The rewards are worth the effort, sacrifice and hard work.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I see myself financially free, living life on my terms, and supporting my family in ways I’ve always dreamed of. I’ll be living in the countryside, surrounded by beautiful fields and views of the sunset. We’ll be traveling often as a family, creating memories and adventures together. We’ll be able to treat our friends and family to incredible holidays and experiences, and we’ll have the time freedom to truly enjoy every moment.
