The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Kimberly Wheeler

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born and raised in Northwest Alabama. I am from a very tiny town, Hackleburg. I currently reside in Vernon, Alabama with my husband, son, and 2 dogs! I love traveling, shopping, going to the golf course, baking, and just spending time with my family. I am blessed to stay home with my one-year-old son, Oliver. Being a mother and wife is what makes me happiest.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have grown in so many ways since joining PlanNet. Every time I reflect on that, I’m filled with such gratitude. I went from not wanting to talk in front of anyone because I was so introverted, to speaking on Zooms with 1400+ people. I have gained confidence. I have gained friendships, skills, knowledge, and a newfound sense of purpose since being a part of PlanNet.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
I have a few things that drive me in my business. My husband and son are #1. They are my biggest cheerleaders and encouragement. I wanted to create and build this legacy business for my family.

I can’t just sit on a business that has so much to offer. I want to take full advantage of the opportunity given to me – for my family.

My team are a driving force for me as well. I have the chance to introduce others to the same opportunity that changed my life. For that, I’m so grateful! I don’t only want to bring them into the business, I want to share with them all the things that have helped me. I want each of them to have the legacy, the time freedom and financial freedom. I pray for success over everyone!

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My mother and grandmother have always been my role models. They both have always had a heart to help people. My grandmother passed in August of 2023, but her legacy lives on every day through the love she shared with everyone she met. That’s how I want to be.

I always say I want to help people, and I believe I get that from them. I want to carry the same compassion, motivation, and strength as they do – not just in my day to day life, but my business as well.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Ambitious, genuine, and optimistic.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
If I had sound advice to give someone, it would be to never give up. It sounds cliche, but it’s so true. You don’t have to go full force 24/7, but if you get discouraged and quit, you’ll never know the blessing you missed out on. Just keep going, whether you’re taking small steps or doing big things.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I will be a Three-Star Director, well on my way to Four-Star. I will have numerous Directors within my organization, meaning they each have legacies to pass to their families as well. I will continue spending quality time with my family, traveling, and soaking in the blessings God has provided.
