The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Kathlene Chabot

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born and raised in Southern California and currently live in Arizona with my husband of almost 18 years and our three amazing boys, ages 13, 8, and 5. I currently work part-time as a bookkeeper for a construction company, but thanks to this incredible opportunity with PlanNet Marketing, I’m on track to make this my full-time career by the end of the year!

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since starting my business in 2023, I’ve changed so much—I'm honestly not the same person I was when I started. I found myself again… my sparkle! I used to be shy, quiet, and the kind of person who sat in the back of the room just trying not to be noticed. But now, my confidence has really grown. I’m stepping up—leading a phenomenal team, standing in front of the room giving presentations and mentoring others. Before this, I didn’t even realize how important mindset was. Now I work on it regularly and it’s made a huge difference.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My biggest motivation is the opportunity to create financial and time freedom for my family. I want to be present for the moments that matter, school events, family vacations or just having dinner together. Being able to just go without having to ask for permission to take my PTO. Financially, I want to take the pressure off, not constantly worrying about bills or saying "no" because it’s not in the budget. It’s also knowing that I’ve helped others believe in themselves, seeing them achieve their goals and dreams because I was able to support and guide them. Knowing that I played a part in someone’s success, that I made a difference—that means everything to me. It makes my heart so full.

4. The three words that describe me best are:
Loyal, Trustworthy, and Caring.

5. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Do it scared. Do it messy. Just DO it! Don’t give up when it gets hard—it’s part of the process. It takes time, so trust the journey and keep going… because the next step could be the one that changes everything.

6. What does your life look like five years from now?
In five years, I see our biggest dreams coming true. Thanks to this business, I picture my husband and I both retired, living debt-free and building our dream home. We'll be living the life with our kids that we’ve worked so hard for.
