The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Geraldine O'Brien

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I am from Waterford, Ireland, 🇮🇪 born and raised here. I am a partner to Pat and a mum to three adult children and a Granny to five grandchildren. I absolutely love nature and being outdoors. I’m also a sunrise and sunset chaser. I work my marketing business part-time for now. But I do plan to work it on a full-time basis in the future.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet, I’ve transformed in ways I never expected. I’ve grown into a confident, purpose-driven leader with a passion for helping others create real freedom. I’m not just building a business; I’m building a legacy.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Freedom drives me—time freedom, financial freedom, and location freedom. I’m deeply motivated by helping others realize that they don’t have to stay stuck in a life that doesn’t fulfill them. Seeing other women, especially busy moms and career-driven women, reclaim their power through this business lights me up.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I admire strong women who lead with grace, grit, and vision—women like Sara Blakely, who built something massive while staying true to herself. She reminds me that you don’t have to fit into a mold to be successful; you can lead powerfully, build an empire, and still be yourself.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Fearless, Authentic and Kind.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Don’t wait until you’re “ready”—just start. The version of you who can build the life you want is waiting on the other side of messy action, mindset shifts, and daily consistency.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I see myself living in the house I’ve had my eye on since I was a child, working part-time hours, and still leading a global team of freedom-chasers. I’ll be hosting retreats, giving back to causes I care about, and continuing to help women completely rewrite their stories. And of course, still traveling the world—with my family. x
