The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Gemma Zinyama

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I'm a Mum of two from Essex, United Kingdom. I gave birth to my second child four weeks ago! My fiancé and I absolutely love travelling, exploring different cultures and time as a family. He's French so it’s a great help when discovering wine regions and gastronomic experiences. In no particular order I love spicy margs, pilates and all things food.

But aside from this, we travel extensively in our spare time and I love that the business has allowed me more flexibility to enjoy these special moments with my family without having to ask for time off or requiring maternity leave.

My background is corporate finance and I spent eight years in Dubai before returning to London, but knew I was destined for something else once I had my first child.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Previously I had no experience in Network Marketing so it’s really been a journey of growth, developing my mindset and learning a hugely rewarding business.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My motivation are my children and to create generational wealth for my sons. We have an incredible business model; that said, my focus is to empower and help as many people as I can and in doing so we all win together. I remember laughing at how cheesy this sounded at the beginning but helping change other people’s lives has easily been the highlight so far.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My role model is easily my mother as she sacrificed everything and worked so hard when raising us, which I am eternally grateful for. I admire her strength, resilience and determination. Now that she’s retired, being able to support her additionally, take her away and watch her enjoy life without any worry is nice.

5. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
If I could give anyone in this business some core advice it is to stay focused and attached to your vision. This business is a journey and it’s important to fall in love with the process and continuously work on your mindset because you are more than capable of achieving everything you set out your mind to do. I have an incredible business mentor in Caroline Hamilton and a lovely community so I am continuously inspired by the people around me.

6. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years on I see more time and financial freedom, creating more multiple figure income earners and life where we simply have more options.
