The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Caroline Hamza

1. Personal: Where you were born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights?
I was born in Leeds and raised there until I moved to the Middle East for 7 years to work, then met my husband; we got married and settled in Hove, East Sussex. We have two beautiful girls whom we love creating memories with abroad. I started this business 2 years ago for travel; I joined the Rep business in January 2024, hit DIT in April, One-Star in July and Two-Star in January!

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
The growth has been nothing short of incredible. Not only has my mind grown from a business perspective, I have grown personally and achieved things I never thought would be possible. I am more confident and content with life than I ever have been as I continually expand my mind and knowledge.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My family. I have two beautiful girls, one of which was born with brain and spine damage so she has mild cerebral palsy. I always worried about what she would do without me financially, but that is not an issue anymore; now I have secure, willable income and continue to aggressively grow my business. I have always wanted to have financial freedom, too. I love having my own money and choices and truly believe it is important for mums to want that.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My dad, he has always supported my business choices and helped me ever since I was young trying to make something of myself. I hope what I am doing now makes him really proud of me.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Social, determined, and happy.

6.  If you had some sound advice to give to anyone, what would it be?
I have many but my main ones would be don't give up, if you fully believe in something then you can do it if you put your mind to it. I have always seen failure as a good thing as it helps us grow. I say to my team there is a reason in life there is a top 1% and that is because those people won't give up on the knock backs, it will fuel them to do better. My other would be don't read into things and take a chance – I feel people in life procrastinate so much over things these days, so jump in and figure it out along the way.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
This always makes me a bit emotional as I actually cannot believe what my life will look like in 5 years. If I can achieve Two-Star Director in one year, how is 5 going to plan out! It is going to be something I could have only dreamt of. At the top of the list is continual happiness and gratitude, more holidays with my family and a whole lot of generational wealth. My main goal is bringing my team along with me, seeing them achieve their goals too as there is nothing more heartwarming.
