PlanNet Marketing congratulates Phil Whitehead for achieving One-Star Director! Phil is from Hertfordshire in the UK, but now lives in a small village in Essex. He tells us, “I’m married to my gorgeous wife, Faye, and we have a larger than life curly haired daughter called Ella, plus Rosie our lockdown cockerpoo, who matches Ella’s endless energy!
“I currently run my own entertainment marketing agency based out of Elstree Film Studios in the UK. Travel is completely different from my day-to-day of reading film scripts and placing clients’ brands in UK dramas and global feature films. I also used to play a good standard of semi-professional football and now love getting out on the golf course and socialising with close friends & family.
“I was able to keep my agency ‘open for business’ despite the fact that cameras had stopped rolling. However, I found myself with lots of spare time, so starting an exciting new challenge with PlanNet Marketing was a no-brainer and very timely. I’ve travelled a lot with work, so now my business allows me to travel smarter.
“My personal travel experience pre-Covid spans across Europe, Thailand and New York (a place where I’d love to one day live). My sister moved to Sydney to become a TV presenter 14 years ago, so we love spending every other Christmas over in Australia in the hot weather. This year, I’m venturing to Turkey in April, Italy and Portugal over the summer, and we have so many new places on our bucket list now that the world has opened again.
“Becoming a One-Star Director is something I thought was so far out of reach for me. There really is no secret to my success; I just threw myself straight into it, dedicating all pockets of my spare time I had while making small sacrifices along the way. I also feel very blessed to have the most amazing mentors and leaders in this business who quickly made me realise the full potential of the PlanNet Marketing opportunity.
“Top tips I’d say are to wake up early, attack the day, stay consistent with your prospecting and take full advantage of as many trainings as you can. I personally also read lots of self-development books. Don’t be afraid to talk to anyone and everyone about the business. On one occasion recently, I was shopping for swimming trunks in a large retail store and the young sales lady was really helpful and wanted to know all about my upcoming vacation. I discussed my holiday and my business in the same breath and she is now three weeks into her PlanNet Marketing journey. What I’m now really starting to enjoy about this business is seeing first-hand how this opportunity can change someone's life, and I enjoy helping my team now grow their businesses, too.
“A fun fact is that 14 months ago, before I joined, I had actually arranged to meet my good friend, Paul Kelbie, at the studios to secretly prospect him for my wife’s online health and wellness business. By the time I got home, Paul had sold me on PlanNet Marketing and is now my amazing mentor and upline.”
