Jennifer tells us, "I am a licensed attorney by trade and recently just separated from the Air Force in March as an active duty JAG Officer. I currently live in Abilene, TX (which was my last duty station) with my husband and our two puppies, whom we lovingly refer to as the 'Wiener Brigade' (they’re both wiener dogs), but I was born and raised in Iowa so I am a midwest girl at heart. (Fun fact: I also used to play softball for Iowa in college -- GO HAWKS!) I was recently accepted into Georgetown’s National Security Law LLM program, so we will be relocating to DC this summer and we couldn’t be more excited. My interests are traveling, reading, yoga, hiking, golfing with my husband, and catching up with old friends (after being stationed away from everyone for so long!).
"Prior to getting married this past fall, I was a HUGE solo traveler and fully believe everyone needs to travel solo at least once to truly experience the deep and honest soul-searching that comes when discovering new places on your own. I’ve traveled internationally to South Korea, Ireland (x2), Germany, and France solo. While traveling solo, I met my husband on my flight to Turkey (he was also active duty military), so that was a fun adventure and great surprise on the way to our next assignment.
"When it comes to building my business, I always strive to maintain a positive attitude and uplifting energy. Negative self-talk only brings you down and hinders your progress, so I pay close attention to what I am consuming throughout the day (podcasts, books, blogs….even the thoughts in my head). To me, this business is very simple, and to be honest….I can’t believe it actually exists! To get paid to share the world of travel with people is such a gift and once in a lifetime opportunity. I always remind myself, 'I’m looking for 100 other people who love to travel. How hard can it be?!'"
