Meet New 20/20 Club Member Amy Allen!

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Amy Allen to the 20/20 Club! Amy is from Owasso, Oklahoma, where she currently lives. She tells us, "I grew up right here, moved to Europe when I was 29, and moved back to Oklahoma in 2017. I love travel (obviously!) and have been all over the world. We celebrate the holidays in Jamaica every Christmas, and camp in Colorado every summer. I read a lot and always have a stack of library books, plus an audio book going. I teach 8th grade English, so I read a lot of things my students suggest, too! I am a huge animal lover, and currently own two dogs and two cats. When we lived in Germany, I adopted a dog and two cats from the streets in Budapest, and we brought them home to Oklahoma with us.

"As far as my success in PlanNet, I am super enthusiastic not only about travel, but about the opportunity PlanNet has to offer. It’s easy to share my excitement for both because it comes through organically when I talk about what we are doing! (And I talk a lot!)

"I post daily about travel and the opportunity PlanNet offers, but never about SELLING either of them. I set a goal of inviting 10 new friends or followers a day to my social media, so I’m always getting new eyes on my excitement for travel. I do that by staying active in interest groups, not about selling, but about whatever the interest group is (for me, that’s travel, dogs, camping, reading, Oklahoma, historical places, etc.) I am intentional about connecting to new people, and that leads to new eyes on my page and my travel business.

"I also do small in-person events to build my local team. There are people who really want to be in the room and talk to a person in order to feel comfortable doing business with them, so any event ends up being time well spent.

"My advice to new agents would be to embrace social media and stay consistent with it. And most importantly, to keep your page and your message to the public positive! People are attracted to pages that make them feel good, and complaining never does that.

"Two fun facts about me are, after living and teaching overseas for 16 years, I now teach 8th grade in the same building I went to 8th grade in, and I sing joyfully every single day, any time, even though I’m terrible at it!"
