PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Wanda Horton to the 20/20 Club! Wanda was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia and now lives in Fredericksburg, VA. She tells us, "I am married to Larry and we have two adult children and two beautiful grandchildren, Michael, Jr. and Skye. They are Why I am pressing for the legacy business. I am an Army Nurse Colonel in the USA with 32 years and two years until retirement. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and just hanging out at the house eating and playing games. I have watched my Army friends retire and go back into the workforce. I enjoyed serving America's sons and daughters stateside and in Iraq, but my goal is to surpass my present salary with my business and get my personal and time freedom back.
"My travel experience started with military traveling to different duty stations. My most recent assignment during Covid was to South Korea. I had the opportunity to see the beauty of Korea. My most recent travel was to Los Cabos, where I had a group of friends and family who traveled to help my daughter and me celebrate our birthdays. I still have a long goal list of countries I want to experience. Growing up in Norfolk, my family frequently went to the local beaches in the area, which is where my love for beaches came from. Being at the beach or pool is my happy place. We have recently purchased a home in Florida where we will reside after retirement so I can be close to the beach.
"I believe I achieved my success because of my gift of caring, tenacity and staying plugged in. Relationships are important to me, so being in network marketing has allowed me to build lasting relationships. At my very first convention I was a Bronze Builder and I didn't even know it, until my Director who I had just met at the convention told me; I walked across the stage in tears of joy. My advice for others is to work on your mindset (know what you have and believe it), follow the proven blueprint already set up for our success, care about people, and get an accountability partner. Trust the process! STAY PLUGGED IN.
"A fun fact about me is I had always loved the idea of having a dog as a pet, but I was terrified and scared of dogs since I was a child. We had a dog as a child and our children had a dog. I have never been bitten or attacked by a dog, either. When I visit people with pets, they always had to put them away and the dog's size didn't matter; I was even fearful of a newborn puppy. But during Covid, my grandkids got a dog. When I returned from Korea, my daughter informed me she was not putting her dog in another room. My granddaughter was six years old and convinced me he was just a puppy and she would walk beside me so he wouldn't get close to me. It took me one week of coaching by my six-year-old granddaughter to get over my fear; now I am a dog grandmom and I am not scared of dogs."
