I work full-time in the business office at one of the City Colleges of Chicago, and just a few months after I started that job, I began a travel business as a side hustle. My only desire was to travel more and to have some extra income. But actually, this business transformed my life, and I never expected it.
"Since then, I’ve taken nine trips, each one bringing me new inspiration and motivation. What started as something small grew into something much bigger and more meaningful.
"When I first started my travel business, everything felt difficult. I was in a new country, with no friends or relatives around – just my husband, my daughters, and my son-in-law. I didn’t know where to find people or how to grow my business. But once I changed my mindset from 'Where will I find people?' to 'How can I help people?,' things became easier. I began becoming a new person, a better person. I’m gaining new experiences, feeling my personal growth, and I’m very satisfied with the person I am becoming.
"I had some leadership experience before, but it was quite different. I never imagined myself leading a team in this way – motivating, mentoring, and growing together with others. And now, I’m a Gold Builder with over 30 amazing people on my team. Helping others succeed brings me so much joy and gives me a real sense of purpose.
"Based on my experience, if I could give one piece of advice, it would be this: be consistent. Spend every single moment you can on activities that produce results until it becomes a habit. When you treat your business like a real business and show up for it daily, success will follow."
