Sonja was raised in Richmond, VA and Roderick was raised in Virginia Beach. Sonja lived in Valrico, FL (Tampa area) for five years and then moved to Virginia Beach where she met Roderick and they've lived there happily ever after for 18 years and counting.

We thrive on the electric energy of live sporting events, both collegiate and professional, cherishing the shared moments with family and friends that create lasting bonds. Live music, particularly the sophisticated rhythms of smooth jazz, holds a special place in our hearts – there's simply no substitute for the raw emotion and artistry of a live performance. We also enjoy the strategic challenge and leisurely pace of golf, and of course, the enriching adventure of travel, exploring new cultures and landscapes.
"We're hooked on travel, and cruising is our ultimate passion! Why? Because it's like a non-stop adventure! We've explored the majestic beauty of Alaska (seriously, it's soul-stirring – so peaceful and calming, yet with an adventurous edge), the charm of Bermuda, the stunning landscapes of Canada, and the vibrant energy of the Caribbean! We've had amazing land adventures in Cancun and Los Cabos, Mexico, but for us, nothing beats the joy of cruising. It's the perfect way to island-hop and soak up the pure magic of the Caribbean.
