Congratulations to Laura Perry for achieving One-Star Director! Laura tells us, "I was born and raised in Surrey, United Kingdom where I live with my two boys, Harry and Archie, my husband, Kev, and Cockapoo, Chewbacca. My PlanNet journey began when my current circumstances were no longer serving us financially as a family, and after returning to work when both my boys were four months old and 15 years later not having much to show for it, I knew something had to change. I had previously had a career in corporate travel, so when I came across the opportunity to return to an industry that I loved as a way of earning money around my current commitments, I jumped in and never looked back.
"I have a huge passion for mindset and personal development after years of working with my mental health and looking at how to stop fear being a dictator in my life. That along with what I always looked at as a weakness – putting others' needs before my own, and turned that into a positive and saw this opportunity as a way that I could give back and do what I love – help others feel empowered, confident and driven to want more.
"I now have the most incredibly motivated team who are all kind and considerate and this shines through with everyone else whom they welcome into the community.
"My biggest tip for anyone who thinks they can never do this is to put one foot in front of the other, make a pact to learn one new skill every day. Show up to trainings and the IMVs so you can borrow everyone else's vision until you have your own and more importantly, understand this isn't about you – this is about everyone else. You have a responsibility to those you introduce to this business. Lead with kindness, empathy,and integrity – that along with consistency means you can only win.
