Congratulations to Kate Sheykhet for achieving One-Star Director! Kate currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She tells us, "I was born in Uzbekistan, raised in Russia, and moved to the United States in 2008 in pursuit of the American Dream. I come from a background in trucking and operations management, where I’ve built over 10 years of experience while working full-time and raising my family. I’m a wife and a proud mom to my 8-year-old daughter, Angelina, who inspires me every day.
"When I started this business, I was already earning a strong full-time income. My initial goal was simple - I wanted to stop leaving money on the table. I had always been the one planning trips for my family and friends, and I realized I could turn that into something more.
"Little did I know that just a few months later, I would reach the rank of Gold Builder and go on to book close to 100 trips within my first year.
"When I first joined about three years ago, the company had around 87,000 agents, and I was starting from the very bottom. Today, with over 145,000 agents, I’m proud to be ranked among the top 500 income earners. This journey showed me that consistency and belief truly make a difference - and if I can do it, anyone can.
"Not everyone starts this business for the same reason. Some people are passionate about travel, while others are simply looking for an additional source of income or a way to change their situation. For me, it became both - a passion and an opportunity to help others.
"Today, I’m proud to lead a team of over 400 people. My success comes from consistency, staying committed, and most importantly, building real relationships. I don’t see my team as just a team - they are my family.
"One important tip I always share is: Don’t compare your journey to others. If someone is growing fast, you don’t see what’s happening behind the scenes or how much time they are investing. I had a goal to become a One-Star Director much earlier, and at times it was frustrating. But with a busy life, I couldn’t always give this business my full attention—and I didn’t yet have the strong, supportive team I have today.
