Twenty-one months ago, life looked very different for us. I was working part-time as a primary school teacher, but was finding it difficult to afford the rising household costs on my salary. I was hankering after something more which would bring in a much needed additional income and new opportunity.
"I considered and explored many 'side hustle' options, but it was on a holiday in Ibiza where I came up with the idea of becoming a travel agent. I had researched, organised and booked an Ibiza trip for nine of us and it suddenly occurred to me that I could perhaps re-train and earn money from my much-loved hobby. I love to travel and was keen to see how I could help more people do the same. I stumbled across this business opportunity on Instagram and initially thought the whole thing was ‘too good to be true.' I deliberated for six months before finally taking the plunge. This is my biggest regret!
"After I joined, I was overwhelmed straight away by how warm and welcoming everyone in the PlanNet marketing community are. Nothing was too much trouble! Everybody answered my questions, (of which there were lots!), and were so lovely and kind to me. I started up a travel Instagram page in Jan 2023 and immediately got going providing quotes. I have thrived being part of a team. I feel so much happier and confident and it is all due to this business. I absolutely love coaching and mentoring my team and seeing their success.
"In 2025 I hope to continue to mentor lots of new agents. I am really looking forward to going on multiple holidays with my hubby and kids. Before this business we never could afford more than one holiday a year, but now all that has changed. We’ve been to NYC, Croatia and Mykonos this year alone and I’m soon to take my family on a dream trip to Florida! Make sure you build up a relationship with your followers by voice noting, telephoning them or jumping on a quick Zoom call.
