Congratulations to Blake Clarke-Wint for achieving One-Star Director! Blake was born and raised in the Cayman Islands, where she currently resides. She tells us, "I went to university in Rhode Island in the USA where I studied Travel-Tourism and Hospitality Management; however, I am a Senior Trust Officer by day! My interests include spending time with my family, friends and team, self-improvement and experiencing new things. I honestly am obsessed with travel and experiencing new cultures, and sharing them with those dearest to me.Good thing I'm in the travel industry!
"I grew up going to Disney World every summer with my family, so it works out perfectly with convention being in my 'second home;' however, two of my favourite travel memories to date are Santorini, Greece last year with my partner where we shared the most incredible memories and scoped out places we would like to bring our parents back to. The food, the culture, the vibes, it was all immaculate! And the second was with my best friend and now business partner, Brittany; we went to New Orleans, just us two, and we got to experience the culture and all the amazing food and history. We will definitely be back as a group!
"I learned very quickly that when you put in the work you will see the results, and that duplication is everything. Have the systems in place where you can simply show others the way and make it as duplicatable as possible. Don't complicate things. I lead from the front and am very transparent about the processes of things. With amazing mentorship and guidance from Leah Lockett and Cassie Rowan, there's no doubt that this is just the beginning.
"Not only has my hard work paid off, but again, the duplication that is happening in my organisation has definitely helped to move things along. We see the vision, we stay close to the fire, and we do not live in our comfort zones.
"A fun fact about me was that when I realised a year ago that there were only 50 people in the Cayman Islands active in this business and 30 of them were on my team, I ran with it and now we are the Founding One-Star Director team! Still feels strange to say."
