Congratulations to Anissa Harris for achieving One-Star Director! Anissa tells us, "My family moved to Decatur, GA from Vallejo, CA in 1980 and I can’t image living anywhere else. I chose college and careers that kept me close to home and after growing through five different careers, it occurred to me that none of the traditional 9 to 5 work settings was for me. After a short stint as a small business owner of a Southern Specialty Food Store, I discovered that food and freedom are my passions. I enjoy creating in the kitchen, it brings me joy! I dream of having a space that is a large kitchen with a beautiful, well-organized pantry that flows into an outdoor living space, where I can entertain family and friends!
"My PlanNet Marketing journey began October 26, 2015. I am a day one partner! I’m proud of that! 'Stick and stay and you’ll get your pay' is my mantra. Every moment was necessary. I had a lot of work to do on me. 'Get your mind right, Anissa' is what I would say to myself. Positive self talk is powerful! I had to study and learn the industry from the inside, which means I had to show up, take notes and glean from all of the leaders. If I was going to lead, I had to be the best follower first.
"My travels have kept me close to home in recent years. As my daughters entered college and my business began to grow, my vision for my future expanded! There are big plans to create culinary tours around the world and take people with me! My most memorable vacation experience was in 2017, when I planned a family trip to Paris to celebrate what would have been my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. My mom was completely surprised and over the moon excited to celebrate even though my Dad had transitioned three years earlier. It showed me what was possible for myself and my family. As my belief in myself grew, so did my confidence and ultimately my partnerships. I am PlanNet Proud!"
