Encouragement is FREE!
Who doesn’t love free stuff? Am I right?
We all enjoy getting a freebie now and then – a discount code, a buy one get one, a gift – they just make our day even better. It’s fun and usually a mood booster.
Did you know that you can give that feeling to your team members any day at any time?! It’s true. It costs absolutely nothing to offer encouragement and kind words in celebration of others! People not only enjoy affirmation, sometimes they need it to keep going. If you want to invest in your team and your business a great way to get the most bang for your buck are your WORDS.
Use your words carefully. It’s easy to get frustrated or annoyed, to critique a new or struggling business partner. But as the saying goes “Honey gets more flies than vinegar.” Try sweet words, encourage them – really look closely and find something you can compliment them on doing well and then make one small suggestion for improvement. Keep it light and sweet.
Be intentional. It’s so easy and yet so easy to forget – build your team up in intentional ways. I see so many of you doing this already. You share their successes – not only rank ups but SHOW ups and moves toward being a better business owner and leader. Add this to your list of Daily Income Producing Activities – send an encouraging and affirming message to a member of your team (they all need to hear from you!)
Shout it out. CELEBRATE those victories. If someone ranks up – you better share that with the WORLD. If someone is doing something great and you want others to see it and maybe do the same thing – tell everyone. Celebrate the improvements you are seeing in every person you work with. Social media is a fantastic way to do this. In person is fabulous too – everyone likes to see that smile on your face as you tell them how awesome they are.
Feel the love! Create an environment of encouragement, camaraderie and Team Love (yes, I said it). Here’s a little tip – if you have a troublesome team member – show them some extra love. Find that thing you can compliment and encourage – it will help them feel connected and it will help you see the best in them!
At PlanNet Marketing, we are all one big TEAM – please don’t forget this! Encourage and affirm each other. Our Reps and our culture really create an atmosphere of affirmation that blows me away – but we can always do more – it’s free right?! Keep sharing the love and shining your light!
